Wishing everyone a prosperous and wealthy year of the Rat!
Lunar New Year is one of the most important multicultural events in Australia.
This year is the year of the Rat and the Rat is the 1st sign of the traditional zodiac. In traditional Asian culture, rats are seen as a sign of wealth and surplus. People born in the Year of the Rat, (1960, 1972, 1984, 1996) are believed to be hard-working, clever, flexible, charming and dedicated. These traits are especially important at this year, given the tough times we are facing with the bushfires in Australia and coronavirus spreading in China.
However, on this festive occasion, hope springs is back. It’s important we look out for each other, seek helps from the community, and give back. Alison Kitchen, Gary Wingrove and the China business team send their New Year wishes to the Chinese and Asia community and our Chinese and Asia colleagues!
