Hardworking and strong: Welcome to the year of the ox
Lunar New Year falls on February 12 this year as we bid farewell to the Year of the Rat and usher in the Year of the Ox. Who would have anticipated the year of the rat would be so disruptive.
The ox is symbolised as hard working and second in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese Zodiac. People born in the year of the ox (1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021) are industrious, cautious, hold their faith firmly, and always glad to offer help. They make for firm friends.
Although many will be unable to travel to their family our hope is they will still celebrate with friends. As COVID-19 continues perhaps the stability and strength of the ox is an important message for the coming year.
Alison Kitchen, Gary Wingrove and the China business team send their New Year wishes to the Chinese and Asia community and our Chinese and Asia colleagues!
