At the beginning of every year everyone wants to know what will be the trends. In 2016, Bernard Salt is taking a generational view.

He starts with the baby boomers because that’s where every generational discussion starts. 2016 is a very important year for baby boomers. This year, the midpoint of the baby boomer generation born in 1956 turns sixty years old. All of a sudden you will see a sea change, a ground shift if you like of baby boomers suddenly being confronted with the issue of retirement and superannuation.
